ESENSI PENDIDIKAN: KETERPADUAN HUBUNGAN VERTIKAL (HABLUM MINNALLAH) DAN HORISONTAL (HABLUMMINANNAAS)

Abstract

The objective of this writing is to study the harmony or integrity between vertical relation (human relation with their God) and horizontal relation (human relation with other people). The study of this article employs literature study approach with implemented analysis. The findings of this writing are (1) the implementation of vertical and horizontal relation has to be integrated. It is impossible to separate one and another. The dimension of Vertical relation is manifested in the piousness (taqwa) conduct, and the Horizontal one is in moral conduct. (2) There are, at least, four classifications of human behavior;
(a) Good vertical and horizontal relation, (b) Good vertical relation but bad Horizontal one, (c) Bad vertical relation but Good horizontal one, and (d) Both vertical and horizontal relation are bad.
